Need to know

1. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Finland, including Lapland, is part of the Schengen Area, so visa requirements depend on your nationality. Citizens of countries like the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada can visit Finland for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa, while many other European Union and EEA countries also enjoy visa-free access. Nationals from some African, Asian, and other countries may require a Schengen visa to enter Finland for short stays, so it’s important to check your specific requirements. For a full list of countries and detailed guidance on who needs a visa, you can visit the official Finnish government website here: https://um.fi/visa-to-visit-finland.

We will provide you with all the necessary information regarding entry into Finland, plus guide and help you through the quick visa application process if required.

2. DURATION

5 days/ 4 nights

3. WEATHER

In March, Lapland experiences a daytime average of -6°C (21°F), with nighttime lows around -10°C (14°F). Rivers are typically frozen, the landscape is covered in snow, and while the days are gradually lengthening, the nights remain long and dark—perfect for Northern Lights viewing and winter activities like husky or reindeer sleigh rides, skiing, and snowmobiling.

4. LANGUAGE

Finnish or Swedish is the first language, although English is widely spoken throughout the region.
