For Egypt, citizens of countries such as the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and most EU nations are eligible to obtain a Visa on Arrival at major international airports or apply in advance through Egypt’s official e-Visa portal. Travelers from many African, Asian, and Middle Eastern countries—including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya & South Africa—are required to apply for a visa prior to travel through the nearest Egyptian Embassy or Consulate.

3. WEATHER
October is an ideal time to visit Egypt and Jordan. In Cairo and Aswan, daytime temperatures range from 76–101°F (24–38°C) with mild evenings, making it perfect for sightseeing and Nile cruises. In Petra, Jordan, days are comfortably warm at 79–88°F (26–31°C), while nights cool to 50–61°F (10–16°C) — perfect for exploring the archaeological sites and desert landscapes. Clear skies and pleasant conditions make October an excellent month for travel.
4. LANGUAGE
The official language of Egypt is Arabic, and in Jordan, the official language is also Arabic. English is widely spoken in both countries, especially in tourist areas, hotels, restaurants, and major cities such as Cairo, Luxor and Petra. Travellers will generally find it easy to communicate in English in most tourist-focused locations.
