We welcome everyone from all different backgrounds and genders. Solo travellers, friends and couples can join our tours. As long as you are all about good vibes and are open-minded to meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures.
We have female only trips and unisex trips.
All trips include accommodations, airport transfers, transportation, listed meals and guided activities. Please refer to the trip specifics and itinerary for more details on what is included. Each trip also usually includes a certified guide who speaks the English and the native language of the getaway destination.
Single occupancy means the room is for one person to occupy. Double occupancy means the room is occupied by two people. The price of each group trip is based on double occupancy. Single occupancy rooms are available, but it will cost more depending on the accommodation.
FYI: Hotel accommodations are based on double occupancy. Solo travellers are usually paired with a roommate of the same sex where possible. If a roommate is unavailable, we may choose to upgrade you to a single occupancy room at no additional charge. JWJ Travels will continually attempt to pair you with a roommate before the trip.
*Double occupancy may be a shared king or queen bed. We will make every attempt to arrange double beds.
While we encourage room sharing to help form good connections and allow for each guest to save some money, we understand that some people aren’t comfortable with a roommate arrangement. Please contact us if you desire to opt for single occupancy, however please note there will be an additional cost for this option.
Our group experiences tend to vary from 8-16 guests. Each trip capacity differs depending on location, hotel demands or type of trip.
Our guests must be over 21. We don’t discriminate so whether you’re in your 20s, 30s,40s or 50+, we welcome you all. You never know who you will connect and network with on our tours, that could end up being a lifelong friend or useful contacts.
Yes, it's not too late to participate in our group travel adventures. Enrolment on or after the first instalment payment due date will require you to “catch up” and pay any prior instalment payments.
Your wellbeing is extremely important to us, therefore we have put firm safety measures in place. Depending on the trip type, there will be an element of risk (i.e. adventure tours and activities like atv rides for example). Careful precautionary standards will be applied at all times.
Fortunately, every guest is advised to take part in all the activities stated in the daily itinerary to maximise the most of your experiences but you are not obliged to. There may be 1 or 2 days where everyone is free to use the day as they wish.
You will receive a preliminary itinerary to begin with. Final itineraries are sent to each member of the group at least 30 days prior to the event commencing via email. We will endeavour to produce and send out ultimate itineraries much sooner.
We do recommend that you get travel and health insurance to cover the duration of your trip (especially full coverage insurance just to be safe).
Private trips are personalised tours and experiences, specifically created exclusively for you and/or your chosen group of companions. Instead of the conventional, readymade travel packages, we carefully tailor each itinerary based on your travel needs, working with you to design your perfect getaway. Our thoughtfully designed itineraries consist of the best activities, destination highlights etc while giving you flexibility and support to make each day your own.
Yes we do charge a fee to plan and book your dream, luxury escape. Our overall fees do vary based on the package selected. Once the travel questionnaire is filled out, we will contact you with an adequate price.
Our private trip experiences are fully customizable to accommodate any number of guests, with no limits or restrictions.
You can certainly make as many modifications to your itinerary, travel dates and hotel changes (but only up until the hotel is finally booked. Thereafter, no further hotel and travel dates can be changed without a possible fee being incurred). Kindly reach out to us on tripplanner@jwjtravels if you require any support or wish to make any further changes in relation to Private Trip reservations.
The price per person varies based on your choice of destination, how many people are participating, budget, duration of trip and the time of year you are travelling. JWJ Travels’ team of travel experts will work with you to curate the best trip suited to your budget and interests.
We can assign a travel guide to you and your travel party. Should you require a guide, please give us advance notice. Please note that this is based on the guide’s availability.
Yes of course, our monthly payment plans are made available to make private trips affordable. Please express your choice of whether you would prefer to pay for the trip in one full payment or in monthly instalments during our consultation.
You can choose to either pay monthly or in one complete payment at your own comfort. This applies to both our Group Trips and Private Trips. If you choose to pay monthly or weekly, we will set you up on a payment plan, and give you a date of when you must pay your monthly or weekly instalments.
You can use our monthly payment plan which allows you more flexibility and time to save up and pay for your trip, at a designated time each month.
All our payment plans and trips are interest free. The only fee that will be charged per payment are card transaction and processing fees.
Please let us know as soon as possible before your scheduled date if you are having issues keeping up to date with a payment. We will endeavour to reschedule your payment deadline so you can catch up the following month. Please be aware that it will mean you will have to make two payments the following month to make up for the payment you missed the prior month. We accept Visa, Mastercard and most debit and credit cards.
All cancelled trips are non-refundable due to the reason that once your deposit and payment is made, we then get to work straightaway in paying for and securing your stay, vendors, accommodations, excursions and so forth. Once full payment or first monthly payment is made, you have up to 5 days to cancel. Please note that deposits are non- refundable. Please see our full terms and conditions for more.
In the unlikely event where we have no choice but to cancel or postpone a trip due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to alert you in advance before departure. Should this be the case, you will be given the preference of switching to another trip.
