Itinerary Example
Day 1-8
A preliminary daily itinerary of this trip will be disclosed after booking, followed by a more comprehensive and customised itinerary provided in the weeks leading up to departure. It will outline the daily schedule, including hourly activities, and expectations for each day.
Some excursions and events may be adjusted depending on weather, availability, and schedule. We will provide final confirmation closer to the event date.
Need to know
1. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Depending on where you reside, you may or may not require a visa. Visas are required for U.S., U.K., E.U., and Canadian nationals travelling to Zanzibar. Visitors can obtain single entry visas upon arrival at the airport in Zanzibar, or mainland Tanzania, however cost varies ($100 USD for Canadian/ U.S. citizens & $50 for British nationals).
To avoid any delays at arrival, we recommend applying for a visa online in advance of your departure date. Completing the e-visa application form is very straightforward. You can do this at Tanzania Immigration & Visa Services.
A passport valid for at least 6 months and a return flight ticket are also required.
We will provide you with all the necessary information regarding entry into Zanzibar, plus guide and help you through the quick visa application process if required.
A yellow fever card is only required if you are arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission

3. WEATHER
A great time to visit Zanzibar is in August/ September as the average temperature ranges between 24°C/ 75°F – 30°C/ 86°F.
4. LANGUAGE
While the two official languages of Zanzibar are Swahili and English, not many locals are as fluent in English. However, it isn’t a problem for visitors as locals in most tourist areas can communicate in English very well.
